What is counselling?
Counselling is a process in which a variety of concerns may be explored, discussed, changed, and resolved. Counselling involves forming a collaborative relationship through which, at your own pace, we can identify problematic thought patterns and behaviours, as well as process emotions that may be resulting in symptoms.

Some reasons why people seek counselling

  • Experiencing depression, anxiety, or emotional distress

  • Feeling alone and isolated within relationships

  • Disordered eating & body image issues

  • Engaging in non-suicidal self-injury

  • Struggling with separation & loss

  • Gender identity & sexuality

  • Facing life transitions & difficult life decisions

  • Parenting and attachment related issues

Some benefits of counselling

  • Increased self-understanding and self-compassion

  • Greater sense of clarity and connection in relationships

  • New ways of coping with stress and better self-care strategies

  • Improved communication skills and boundaries

  • Re-connection with personal meaning and purpose
